Heidi joined Act for Kids in 2015 as a Domestic and Family Violence Specialist and since then has been managing a variety of our services across Queensland.
She previously worked for the Queensland Police Service and Queensland Corrections, focusing for the last 18 years in the domestic and family violence and family and children’s sectors.
Heidi’s focus has been on increasing service system collaboration to support families and communities to care for their children. She is passionate about all children having the right to be supported in their lives and a community around them understanding their needs. She is also a strong advocate for children, women and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Heidi sits on the Queensland Domestic and Family Violence Advisory Group and is a member of Queensland Child Protection Week Committee. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Post Graduate Studies in Leadership, Workplace Health and Safety and Public Safety.
