By leaving a bequest to Act for Kids, you can make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people who have experienced abuse and neglect.
By including Act for Kids in your will, you offer a gift of hope to future generations and you will help us give abused and neglected children the chance to lead safe, happy and fulfilling lives.
How you can leave a bequest to Act for Kids
After making provision for those you love, here are some options if you decide to leave a bequest to Act for Kids:
- Residual bequest – the remainder of your estate after family and friends have been provided for.
- Percentage bequest – a nominated percentage of your estate.
- Specific bequest – a nominated amount of money or a specific gift such as artwork, property, stocks or shares.
Suggested wording for leaving a bequest to Act for Kids
If you wish to leave a bequest to Act for Kids in your will, you may like to use the following wording however we encourage you to first seek legal advice before changing your will.
“I GIVE free of all duties and charges the sum of [write in the words and numbers] to Act for Kids of Level 1, 8 Gardner Close, Milton Queensland 4064, for its general purposes absolutely. I declare a general charitable intention.”
OR
“I GIVE a [insert quantum of share or percentage, for example one half share or 50%…] of my residuary estate UPON TRUST for Act for Kids of Level 1, 8 Gardner Close, Milton Queensland 4064, for its general purposes absolutely. I declare a general charitable intention.”
