Dan has over 30 years of experience spanning executive management, research, evaluation, services planning and policy development in the justice, health, human services, and Indigenous sectors.
Recent professional roles include General Manager Business Development at Ninti One Limited (current); Chief Executive Officer, Desert Knowledge Australia (statutory corporation NT); Managing Director, Desert Knowledge Research Institute Limited; and Chief Executive Officer, Sunrise Health Service Aboriginal Corporation (NT).
In the 1990s, Dan was an Associate Director at KPMG’s National Health and Life Sciences consulting practice, and in a similar capacity at Ernst and Young.
Dan has held several board and committee positions. Recent roles include elected member of the Regional Executive Committee, Chamber of Commerce NT; Innovator-In-Residence, NT Department Trade, Business and Innovation; director, Aboriginal Medical Services Alliance Northern Territory; and director, Katherine Regional Aboriginal Health and Related Services. Dan is a co-founder of the Aboriginal Business Industry Chamber of South Australia.
Dan holds a first-class honours degree from the University of Adelaide and a PhD from the Australian National University.
