Stockland North Shore Project Director, Andrew Astorquia, presents a $17,000 cheque to Act for Kids’ Rob Williamson

Stockland North Shore Project Director, Andrew Astorquia, presented a $17,000 cheque to Act for Kids as part of its annual Christmas e-card initiative.

Mr Astorquia said Act for Kids was chosen as the Queensland recipient because of its tireless efforts to support children suffering from child abuse and neglect.

“It involves Stockland redirecting money traditionally spent on physical cards and Christmas hampers into supporting four worthy charities.

“Stockland has a very strong relationship with Act for Kids in Townsville and we are determined to help out whenever we can,’’ he said.

Stockland also ran a cubby house raffle at the North Shore display village to raise money for Act for Kids.

Act for Kids Executive Director of Marketing, Communications and Fundraising, Rob Williamson, said he was extremely grateful for Stockland’s ongoing support.

“The $17,000 donation will be directed towards programs and services throughout the state, as well as the new Child and Family Centre of Excellence, which is expected to be open in April,” he said.
