Act for Kids has recently been awarded a grant from Community Benefit SA (CBSA) to be used for therapy assessments for our Integrated Therapy Program in Adelaide. The grant aims to improve the community participation, life management skills, well-being and quality of life of disadvantaged individuals, families and communities.
The $8,750 grant has been designated towards the purchase of speech pathology and occupational therapy resources to assist developmental assessments and individual case plans for 50 children and their families across Adelaide, where children are at risk of abuse and neglect to improve wellbeing, mental health, family functioning and community safety.
The therapy resources will help our team evaluate a childs behaviour and social-emotional health to facilitate learning and development of childrens language, motor, self-help and early academic skills.
