Singing school busk for abused kids

3 February 2014

Students of Mildura Singing School gathered at Langtree Mall to bring some Christmas cheer to shoppers by singing traditional carols around town.

Singing teacher Janice Rosenberg said this was the second year they had raised money by busking for Act for Kids, a charity she highly values.

“Act for Kids is an organisation that provides support to children who have been abused and helps to prevent neglect.

“There’s no better time to give than at Christmas. We are hoping to raise a little more than last year – aiming for about $1,000.

“The children have all been practicing numerous Christmas carols in the lead up to our performances,” she said.

We’d like to say a big thank you to Janice and her students for their continued support for raising $600 towards our Christmas appeal.
