Music therapy is helping vulnerable kids to grow and thrive, thanks to the long-time support of Brisbane-based body corporate management company Capitol Body Corporate.
Since 2007 Capitol Body Corporate has supported Act for Kids Sing and Grow program, fundraising through member meetings, trivia nights, bake sales, workplace giving and directors donations.
In 2015 alone the company raised just under $20,000. This funding will enable the Sing and Grow program to expand to other centres, said Executive Director of Marketing, Communications and Fundraising Rob Williamson.
Thanks to Capitol Body Corporate we can continue to give more children the chance to improve their overall motor skills, social skills, quality of life and emotional development said Rob.
The Sing and Grow program helps children express themselves through music therapy. At the end of the nine week program each child receives a musical instrument pack to encourage ongoing parent and child interactions.
