For the fourth year in a row, the Mental Health Academy‘s Mental Health Super Summit was a huge success, raising over $141,000 for children that have experienced child abuse or neglect.
That brings the total amount raised from the online event to over half a million dollars in just four years. Act for Kids CEO Dr Neil Carrington said he was so grateful to the team at Mental Health Academy for their ongoing commitment to bettering the lives of Australian kids.
“It’s very rare to find an organisation that will stick by a charity and deliver such life-changing funds year after year. Pedro and the team have a huge amount of integrity, and always do what they say they are going to do,” Dr Carrington said.
“The funds raised will allow us to expand and support our Integrated Therapy Services in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. It will allow us to reduce our waitlists and increase the number of therapy hours we can deliver each week.”
Over 16 days the Summit was delivered via live webinar sessions and on demand viewing, with world renowned mental health experts sharing insights and knowledge for thousands of participants.
Mental Health Academy CEO Pedro Gondim says they’re very proud to be able to support Act for Kids in the incredibly important work they do.
“We look forward to reaching our next fundraising milestone: over 1 million dollars raised for Act for Kids by 2022.”
