Bond University medical students have handed over a generous donation to Act for Kids, providing intensive therapy for abused and neglected kids.

The $2,000 cheque was presented to Act for Kids CEO, Dr Neil Carrington at Bond University’s Medical Charity Ball held on 1 March 2014 at Jupiter’s Casino. The event is held every year by the Medical Students Society of Bond University and this year’s ball was themed Casino Royale, the latest James Bond movie.

The medical students at the university’s Gold Coast campus held various fundraising activities including a bake sale, indoor soccer tournament, FIFA gaming tournament as well as collecting donations at a live band event.

The contribution by Bond University students is greatly appreciated and will go towards providing the necessary support services to help kids and young people overcome their experiences from abuse and neglect.
