A Gold Coast kindergarten held a fundraiser performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at the Spotlight Theatre, Benowa this month.

Act for Kids Marketing and Communications Manager, Penny Parsons attended the performance and said she was extremely grateful for the support of Mermaid Waters Kindergarten and their community.

“The charity performance that Mermaid Waters Kindergarten organised was a way to bring in the community and raise awareness about Act for Kids and our work on the Gold Coast.”

Penny Parsons said the other activities on the night such as the raffles and cake stall was a wonderful way to fundraise on the night.

Mermaid Waters Community Kindergarten Director, Michele Hoskins said Act for Kids was chosen as the charity recipient because of its tireless efforts to support children suffering from child abuse and neglect.

“We have a very strong relationship with Act for Kids and we are determined to help out whenever we can,’’ she said.

“Act for Kids is a wonderful organisation that supports local families.”

This isn’t the first time Michele has raised money for Act for Kids as she previously participated in the Vietnam Trek for Kids in September 2015.
