The Diamonds & Pearls Gala Luncheon was not only a chance for Gold Coasters to play dress-ups to celebrate the Magic Millions carnival, but also an opportunity to support abused and neglected kids.

Hosted by Madonna King and Simone Bennett-Smith, a dazzling crowd of close to 80 guests spent the afternoon at the exquisite waterfront setting of Fellini Ristorante, enjoying a scrumptious three-course meal, along with a stunning fashion parade and millinery masterpieces from Hats by Tracy Mac.

Ellen Park, Fundraising Manager at Act for Kids, said the raffle featured a glittering array of prizes from jewels to designer gift vouchers, kindly donated by tenants of Marina Mirage.

“It was great to see so many guests digging deep to support Act for Kids through raffle ticket sales. The $1,200 raised by guests will help us continue providing therapy and support to vulnerable kids and their families.

“We’re also very grateful to have many partners who kindly donated prizes to our raffle and their generosity in supporting our fundraising efforts,” Ellen Park said.
