Several businesses on the Gold Coast recently came together to hold a charity day for Act for Kids. Initiated by Hoppys Express Car Wash Oxenford, they were joined by Subway Oxenford and the local 7-11 and together they raised enough to put 30 kids through our protective behaviours program!
The sunny Sunday brought in plenty of customers, wanting to take advantage of Hoppys $10 Express Wash and local radio station Hot Tomato even came down to promote the event.
Hoppys Express Car Wash Oxenford is owned and operated by Ian Healy, Australian cricket legend who was on hand to present the cheque of their days earnings to Act for Kids Fundraising Manager, Karen McIntyre.
We are so appreciative to wonderful businesses in the community, like Hoppys, Subway and 7-11, who come together to raise funds on behalf of Act for Kids. All donations, no matter how big or small, go a long way in healing little lives, Karen said.
