During the festive period, Act for Kids were lucky enough to have two gift-wrap stalls at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and Westfield North Lakes.

Ministers, local members, CEO’s and volunteers in the community came together to wrap Christmas gifts and raise money for some of Queensland’s most vulnerable kids.

The wrapping line up included the Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Hon Steven Miles MP, Chris Whiting MP, Michael Berkman MP, Councillor James Mackay, the CEO for Auto & General Ram Kangatharan, Act for Kids CEO Dr Neil Carrington, and loyal volunteers.

Dr Neil Carrington said Christmas is a joyful time of year, and Act for Kids relies heavily on big-hearted shoppers to help raise valuable funds to heal little hearts and minds.

“All funds raised from the Christmas wrap stall will help to provide free integrated therapy for children who have suffered abuse and neglect.”

“We are so fortunate to have a caring network of volunteers that embrace the true spirit of Christmas, donating their time to connect with their local community and wrap gifts to raise money for vulnerable kids,” Dr Carrington said.

A special thank you to Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and Westfield North Lakes for their support, assistance and generosity during the festive season.
