After a busy Christmas season, Act for Kids are excited to announce that the total amount raised in the 2016 Christmas Appeal is upwards of $160,000!

This is made up of donations received by corporates, individual donors and multiple activities over the silly season including our Christmas Gift Wrap at Orion Springfield Central Shopping Centre which brought in over $6,500 in just a few weeks.

Danielle Dunsmore, Marketing Manager for Orion Springfield Central said the gift wrapping stand turned out to be one of the centre’s best success stories despite being the first time they had worked with Act for Kids.

“It was great to see customers asking about Act for Kids and wanting to know how they could help. The team of volunteers on hand were fun, reliable and professional and most importantly, managed to raise a considerable amount of money through their hard work!” Danielle said.

Act for Kids event organiser Donna Miller said they were blown away by the generosity of the people in the Greater Springfield community.

“It was heartwarming to see people donating much more than a gold coin to have their gifts wrapped. We are very excited to do more within the Greater Springfield area this year,” she said.
