Next month four staff from insurance provider Budget Direct, are cycling and kayaking 100km through Vietnam to raise awareness and funds for Act for Kids along with 7 other trekkers. All Budget Direct staff aim to raise a minimum of $3,600 each towards Act for Kids

Budget Direct is sponsoring their travel and accommodation expenses and is holding a companywide Superhero Day on 9 September to help raise more funds. All staff will dress up as a superhero for the day for a gold coin donation.

So far the Budget Direct staff have together have raised over $5,700 towards their goal and are busy training for the challenge in earnest.

Tania from Budget Direct said she is honoured to dedicate her time and challenge her fitness for Act for Kids.

“I’m adventurous and I like to get outside of my comfort zone, so I hope to explore and learn new things about myself through my trip to Vietnam,” said Tania.

Act for Kids, CEO, Dr Neil Carrington, said the Vietnam challenge will help raise much-needed funds and awareness so Act for Kids can continue to give children and young people the support they need for a brighter future.

“We aim to raise over $40,000 which will directly go back into our free integrated therapy programs. It’s amazing to see so many determined people wanting to promote the work we do, and know that their fundraising efforts will help create better outcomes for all kids living in Australia.”
