Earlier this year, Act for Kids Regional Director Thomas Mcintyre and Fundraising Manager Karen McIntyre attended a Super Bowl Sunday charity event hosted by American founded organisation Anixter which raised over $3,000 for kids in need.

It was an early start for attendees with breakfast before the game kicked off. At half time, a mechanical bull provided the entertainment and there was fabulous prizes raffled off on the day as well.

Held at Norman’s Bar in Woolloongabba, all proceeds from the event went back to Act for Kids to help abused and neglected children get their childhoods back.

Karen Mcintyre said it was great to be able to share more about what Act for Kids does with corporates from a new industry.

“It was such a fun and unique event and we are so appreciative for the support from Anixter and their clients,” she said.

Chris Mooney, State Manager for Anixter Queensland toured the Act for Kids centre at Wooloowin earlier this month and presented the Tom Mcintyre with the donation from the Super Bowl event.
