Renée McAllister is a registered psychologist with 20 years’ experience working in the fields of child and family psychology, forensic psychology, and organisational culture and climate. She is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and prior to working at Act for Kids, Renée worked for 10 years in private practice, specialising in working with children and families.
She has extensive experience supporting a multidisciplinary team of professionals to enhance child and family wellbeing.
Renée’s particular interest is in ensuring that children and families have positive outcomes through counselling and intervention, and that practice based research methods are used to review and reflect on those outcomes. She has significant skills in staff training, support and supervision, as well as presenting parent education programs in ways that support participant learning and development.
