During National Child Protection Week (7-13 September 2014), our corporate supporters from Budget Direct held raffles, a multicultural morning tea and donned their favourite superhero costumes to raise awareness and funds to further support Act for Kids as part of a company-wide ‘Superhero Day’.

The week kicked off with the 2014 Bridge to Brisbane fun run on Sunday 7 September, where almost 100 staff pounded the streets of Brisbane to raise funds. All in all staff raised over $12,000 for Act for Kids. A big thank you to all participants for dedicating every mile of the race to supporting Act for Kids.

We would like to say a huge congratulations and thank you to the entire team for their tremendous achievement, for not only raising awareness but for the ongoing support you give to children and young people in desperate need of help.

Over the past few years, Budget Direct has dedicated their time and effort to supporting Act for Kids through various initiatives including fundraisers, raffles, fitness and health challenges, social events, volunteering and engaging staff through our Workplace Giving program.
