National Child Protection Week (7-13 September 2014) is an annual campaign designed to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of primary prevention to reduce child abuse and neglect in Australia. The campaign calls on communities to act on the core message protecting children is everyones business and play your part.
Act for Kids has launched a public awareness campaign, calling on Queenslanders to stand up and take action during Child Protection Week. The campaign featuring Act for Kids Ambassador, Kay McGrath, will run across TV, radio, press and online channels.
Act for Kids are dedicated to supporting abused and neglected kids and their families when theyre in need of help. This year, we aim to raise awareness of the issue and vital funds so we can continue to expand our programs and services to more kids and families.
Please show your support this Child Protection Week by visiting the Act for Kids pop-up art gallery on 12 September in Brisbane. The proceeds from every artwork will go directly towards our vital services in preventing and treating child abuse and neglect.
