On 10 April 2015, Mercedes-Benz Brisbane invited Act for Kids to their annual golf day held at Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club on the Gold Coast. The event was much more than just a round of golf. More than 80 players teed off and competed for a range of fun raffle prizes and enjoyed luncheon celebrations, with all proceeds supporting Act for Kids. The lucky winner walked away with four nights accommodation at the InterContinental resort at Sanctuary Cove, including a breakfast package and a round of golf at the Palms Sanctuary Cove golf course, donated by Mercedes-Benz Brisbane.
Ellen Park, Act for Kids Fundraising Manager, said the support from Mercedes-Benz Brisbane and the generosity of the players is what made this day a success.
The funds raised will enable us to continue to expand our intensive therapy and early intervention programs to thousands of children, young people and families in Queensland, so we can help them overcome their challenges so they can become stronger, safer and happier.
A big thank you to all who participated. We were lucky enough to attend the event, where we raised over $1,200 in raffle ticket sales thanks to many generous golfers, Ellen said.
Since 2009, Mercedes-Benz Brisbane has been a partner of Act for Kids Platinum Class Lottery and has supported several of our fundraising initiatives, providing in-kind support such as prizes and general donations. Act for Kids would like to thank Mercedes-Benz Brisbane for their support over the years.
