Act for Kids were thrilled to be the charity recipient of the CMC Rocks festival for the third year in a row. The southern hemisphere’s biggest international country music festival, CMC Rocks was held at Willowbank Raceway in Ipswich from the 24th-26th of March.

Event organisers have confirmed that the 10th Anniversary of the festival was the biggest to date and Act for Kids raised over $3,400 from festival goers over the three day event.

Fundraising and Event Coordinator for Act for Kids, Donna Miller said the weather was beautiful and the thousands of country music fans enjoyed the music of massive country artists Little Big Town, Jasmine Rae and of course, Dixie Chicks.

“Helping to collect donations we had volunteers from Auto & General and Vita Group Limited which was an enormous support. We were also selling our adorable Monster Crayons which were a big hit for the campers with kids!” Donna said.

“We’re very proud of the amount raised this year and would like to thank all who donated, the organisers of CMC Rocks Chugg Entertainment and of course, all our wonderful volunteers for making this possible. The money raised will help us to continue to treat and prevent child abuse and neglect across Australia,” she said.
