With the annual Trek for Kids just three months away, our trekkers have been busy with lots of events and fundraisers to help them reach their goals!

So far, the trekkers have brought in almost $30,000 which will all go towards helping abused and neglected children get their childhoods back.

Channel 7’s Sammie O’Brien will be taking on the trek and smashed her fundraising goal in just one day! Earlier this month, she held a sell-out champagne afternoon at Eleven Rooftop Bar and with some amazing raffle prizes brought in almost $20,000 – doubling her initial goal of raising $10,000!

Act for Kids Fundraising Manager Karen McIntyre, together with Sammie O’Brien also held a Champagne High Tea at the Clovely Estate Cellar Door and brought in over $2,000 together.

“It was such a gorgeous morning and to have so many beautiful, generous women in one room was incredibly special! It was great to see so many new faces and share a bit about the work Act for Kids does in the local community,” Karen said.

Coming up, Australian Survivor Contestants Kat Dumont and Sue Clarke will be holding a Charity Trivia Night on the 14th of July at The Rise in Maylands, WA.

The girls are swapping Samoa for the Great Wall of China and encourage their local Perth community to get behind them and help make a difference for kids!

There are some amazing prizes up for grabs including a weekend away at the Novotel Perth Langley, an iFLY Indoor Skydiving voucher, tickets to the Business Chicks Amy Cuddy event and a signed Perth Scorchers shirt!
