In just over a month, nine courageous trekkers will set off on their eight day adventure trek to raise funds for abused and neglected children around Australia. This year that includes Rebecca Brownlie and Ryan Bartlem from Act for Kids sponsor Auto & General.

Rebecca and Ryan have been busy fundraising for their first Trek for Kids adventure and it was fantastic to see Auto & General get behind their efforts during Child Protection Week.

Their week long fundraising efforts included Superhero Day (an Auto & General favourite), a raffle for a weekend getaway to Mooloolaba, a bake sale, sausage sizzle and a Family Fun Day at Brisbane’s New Farm Park.

agRyan said it was great to see everyone get involved and dress up for Superhero Day in support of a great cause.

They raised over $3,400 during the week and still have some events to come including a wine tour of Mt Tamborine and some Bunning’s Sausage Sizzles Rebecca said.

“Both Ryan and myself are getting very excited for the Trek now. We are training every weekend and with more events coming up over the next month we are getting closer to our $8,000 goal,” she said.
