paddy-facePatrick ‘Paddy’ Delohery is not your average personal trainer. He’s not only committed to helping people start and continue their own personal fitness journey, but he has set himself a challenge to complete 50 fitness events in one year – with a goal of raising $10,000 for Act for Kids.

Well into his challenge, Paddy completed the Sydney Running Festival 42km Marathon on the weekend, event number 34 out of 50! Sitting just under $9,000 in funds raised with over three months to go, it’s safe to say that Paddy is going to smash his $10,000 goal just as he smashed the marathon!

Not only is Paddy setting a fantastic example for his clients, he’s loved setting a good example for his kids and teaching them the importance of not always putting yourself first he says.

“Being a father myself, the love I have for my kids is what made me want to support those Aussie kids that are missing out and being mistreated. I love the work that Act for Kids do and our values are very heavily aligned,” Paddy said.

“It’s been a life changing experience and the support that I have received has been so rewarding.”

With just 16 events to go, we look forward to keeping up with Paddy’s progress and encourage you to follow along with his fitness journey here. If you want help Paddy reach his $10,000 goal go to his Everyday Hero page!
